4x4 route to Picos de Europa National Park from Santander

Santander, Unquera and Desfiladero de la Hermida1

10:00 a.m.: 60 minutes in Potes (free time to visit the Villa).

11:15 a.m.: Monastery of Santo Toribio (optional visit of the Holy Cross, 10 min.)

11:40 a.m.: Viewpoint of the Hermitage of San Miguel (spectacular panorama, 10 minutes) and Aldea de Congarna

12:15 p.m.: Mogrovejo with its medieval tower (10 minutes)

12:45 pm: Peña de Oviedo, Neolithic remains and spectacular views of the Cantabrian Mountains and the Eastern Massif of the Picos de Europa (optional 15-minute hiking.)

1:45 pm: Refuge of Aliva, optional lunch, spectacular view of Peña Vieja, Royal Chalet and glacial valleys (1.15 min.) and Vegas de Sotres

4:30 p.m.: Sotres, viewpoint and optional lunch (1:30 hours of free time), Jito Escarandi, Sierra La Corta, Vao los lobos, Salto la Cabra and Bejes.

5:30 p.m.: La Hermida

7:00 p.m. (approx.): arrival in Santander (at the same point of departure)
