Seeing the coast from the sea changes the perspective: the pace slows down, the landscape opens up and every detail counts. This experience is perfect for understanding the seafaring life of the Arousa estuary and getting closer, in a direct and guided way, to the world of rafts.
Arousa River: A seafaring journey to look at the estuary with different eyes
The Arousa River Experience. is the Mussel Route along the Arousa estuary from Pobra do Caramiñal, a traditional 2-hour boat trip. You will leave from the fishing port to contemplate Pobra do Caramiñal from the sea and see its fish market, and then you will sail to the rafts to learn about the mussel farming process. A specialized guide will explain to you at the foot of the raft how mussels are grown in Galicia and will climb a rope so that you can see it in situ.
