




The Mur Cave, located in the picturesque village of Ramales de la Victoria, it is a must-see destination for enthusiasts of Sports caving. Known for its impressive circular route, this cave offers a fascinating combination of natural beauty and technical challenges. The calcareous formations that adorn its galleries, including stalactites, stalagmites and eccentricities of various shapes and colors, make this cave a true underground treasure.
Description of the activity:
The adventure begins with access to the cave through a small window, which introduces us to the underground world of Mur Cave. From here, we move towards the handrail area, where we prepare to enter the entrance rolling mill. This laminator leads us to the first rappel, 15 meters long, which takes us directly to the handrails of the terrace of the great room.
Once on the terrace, We climb to the head of the most challenging rappel of the route: an exciting descent of more than 40 meters that deposits us at the back of the great room, a vast space full of spectacular formations. From here, we ascend the ramps to the camp room, where the route becomes simpler and more accessible.
The tour continues to the famous Paso de los Retales, a narrow passage that requires skill and patience to overcome. Once we have gone through this challenge, we arrive at the Coral Gallery, an area rich in formations that stand out for their beauty. The route culminates with the return to the head of the 40-meter rappel, from where we start the way back to the start, thus completing an unforgettable circuit.
Is it necessary to have previous experience in caving to carry out this activity?
Although previous experience is recommended, it is not essential. Our guides are prepared to assist participants with different skill levels.
What should I wear for the activity?
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing, preferably quick-drying and resistant. It is also advisable to bring a waterproof jacket and a change of clothes.
