The adventure begins in Canales, where you will take a concrete track that will take you to the Cabaña del Alemán. From there, the ascent becomes more challenging, through trails and meadows, until you reach the top of the Pandescura Head. Enjoy the 360º panoramic views offered by this natural viewpoint, from the Picos de Europa to the Cantabrian coast.
The descent will take you along a diffuse path to the Llamero bridge, where you will enter the impressive Casaño River Gorge. This wild valley will surprise you with its natural beauty, its vestiges of ancient buildings and the strength of the river that flows between the rocks.
Along the way, you'll discover hidden treasures, such as the Canal de Lucia and the ancient "cuerre" used to dry chestnuts. The route culminates at the Pompedru Bridge, from where you can admire the spectacular Casaño River gorge.
The return to Canales will take you along a cobbled road and a path through a chestnut forest, completing this unforgettable circular route.
