Route to the Valley Lake in Somiedo

The route to Lago del Valle runs through the best-known valley of Somiedo. Here you can see Curious geological formations, local flora and fauna and some of the most beautiful landscapes in Asturias.



Once we meet our guide and meet our companions, all that remains is to start walking.



We're going on a road! The first kilometres of the route will take us into a landscape with a great cultural charge: the old farmland where today green meadows separate by stone fences survive. When we reach the end of this meadow we will begin the slight but constant climb, which will allow us to climb the old ones Glacial moraines, feel the forest more present and enter the "Kingdom of the Brown Bear" (and we are not there halfway yet!).



With a little more effort we will reach the Lake Valley, the largest in Asturias, located in a setting of great beauty, where the mountains are the protagonists. This is the ideal place to enjoy a snack and take pictures to remember. After regaining strength and hydrating ourselves, we will return to the starting point along a different path that will offer us new points of view and new sensations.
