On board a schooner that is more than 100 years old, you will travel the estuary from Vigo while getting to know its fishing culture, its landscapes and that mixture of history and sea that is felt in every mile.

The experience of Vigo. is a 2-hour seafaring route by schooner departing from the Port of Vigo – Portocultura. You will sail with the skipper Xoán and his sailors, who will make you part of the journey and show you the fishing gear that is used in the estuary. Depending on the time of year, you will be able to see one or another technique, since there are closed periods and they are not always operational. You will also go to the bateas, the platforms where mussels are grown in Galicia, and enjoy an aperitif on board.

During the tour you will see the work and the maritime landscape up close: the fishing gear (when active), the rafts and the natural wealth of the area, with birds and islets. The navigation is quiet and educational, designed to get to know the estuary in a close and authentic way. To close the experience, a small aperitif is offered that accompanies the seafaring atmosphere with a gastronomic touch.
